Since its beginnings at the dawn of the 20^th century, the French aeronautical industry has demonstrated its excellence.

Its know-how has expanded beyond its frontiers: today the French aeronautics, space, defence and security electronics industry is the top national economic sector in terms of exports and trade surplus.

Round-up of the market

With 36.8 Billion €, the unconsolidated turnover of the sector has increased by 3.5%.

The civil market contributes 69% and the military sector yields 11.3 Billion €.

• 27% increase in orders in 2010 of which:

                  -  66% for export (i.e. 28.2 billion €)
                  -  71% of civil orders (i.e. 30.6 Billion €)

• This is the 17th year in a row for which the amount of orders was greater than the turnover.
• 34% growth on equipment orders
